Events & calendars,
done right for Craft.
Owl brings recurring events, ICS feeds, multisite, and native Commerce ticketing to Craft CMS 5 — the recurrence, ICS, and front-end submission that other plugins paywall are free in Lite.
Lite is free forever — Pro adds Commerce ticketing for $149.
A real calendar, backed by real rows
Define an event once with a recurrence rule; Owl materialises every occurrence into the database so your month view, feeds and tickets all read from the same fast source.
July 2026
3 calendars · 12 occurrences
“Live jazz” is one event with a weekly recurrence rule — Owl expands it into four occurrences automatically.
Everything an events site needs
A complete calendar layer — recurrence, feeds, and ticketing in one plugin.
Recurring events
Full RFC 5545 recurrence — daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, intervals and counts — with exception dates and single-occurrence overrides. Free in Lite.
Materialised occurrences
Every occurrence is a real, indexed database row — so calendar range queries and pagination are plain, fast SQL, not expand-at-query guesswork.
Unlimited calendars
Group events into as many calendars as you like, each with its own colour and per-calendar field layout for custom event fields.
Twig & GraphQL API
Query events with the fluent craft.owl.events() Twig API or over GraphQL — filter by calendar, date range, status and more.
ICS feeds & export
Subscribable per-calendar feeds and single-event .ics downloads, generated straight from materialised occurrences. Free in Lite.
FullCalendar JSON
A ready-made JSON endpoint feeds FullCalendar (or any client) month/week/day/list views, with demo templates to start from.
Front-end submission
Let visitors submit events from the front end with validation and spam protection — no control-panel account required. Free in Lite.
Commerce ticketing
Pro turns occurrences into purchasable tickets: ticket types, per-occurrence capacity, oversell guards and order snapshots, native to Craft Commerce.
Hardened multisite
Dates and recurrence live on a shared table; only title, body and slug are per-site — so propagation and Matrix bugs don’t creep in. DST-correct, always.
How it works
From a single event definition to a full calendar in three steps.
Create a calendar
Add a calendar in the control panel, give it a colour, and design its field layout — add any custom fields your events need, just like an entry type.
Add an event with a rule
Create an event, set its start and end, pick a timezone, and (optionally) a recurrence rule. Owl materialises every occurrence to a rolling horizon for you.
Show it anywhere
Render occurrences with craft.owl.events() or GraphQL, drop them into FullCalendar, expose an ICS feed — and with Pro, sell tickets through Commerce.
Simple, fair pricing
Start free. Upgrade to Pro only when you need to sell tickets.

Owl Lite is free forever and includes recurrence, ICS feeds, GraphQL, multisite and front-end submission. Owl Pro is a one-time $149 (with an optional ~$74/yr for updates) and adds native Craft Commerce ticketing.
Yes. Showtime bundles Owl Pro with Stub (booking & appointments) and Headcount (memberships & subscriptions) for a one-time $249 — $78 less than the $327 the three cost separately — under one license, one CP section and shared Stripe credentials. Already on Owl? Showtime installs in place, no data migration.
Solspace puts recurrence, ICS and front-end submission behind its $199 Pro tier — Owl includes all of them in the free Lite edition. Owl also hardens multisite and adds first-class Commerce ticketing. See the migration guide.
Yes — full RFC 5545 recurrence rules (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, intervals, counts), exception dates and single-occurrence overrides, all DST-correct. Owl materialises each occurrence into an indexed table for fast queries.
Only for the Pro edition’s ticketing. Commerce is an optional, soft dependency — without it Owl runs as a full-featured calendar and gracefully hides ticketing.
Use the fluent craft.owl.events() Twig API, query over GraphQL, feed FullCalendar from the JSON endpoint, or expose a subscribable ICS feed. See Front-end & Twig.
Craft CMS 5.6+ and PHP 8.2+. The Pro edition’s ticketing additionally requires Craft Commerce 5.0+.
