ICS feeds

Owl generates standards-compliant iCalendar (.ics) output so visitors can subscribe to your calendars or add a single event to their own. This is free in Lite — many plugins charge for it.

Calendar feeds

Every calendar exposes a subscribable feed at:

/owl/calendar/.ics

Point Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook at this URL and the feed stays up to date. Link to it from your templates:

Single-event downloads

Offer an “Add to calendar” link for one event with:

/owl/event/.ics

How recurrence is exported

Owl emits one VEVENT per materialised occurrence, each with a stable unique ID. This keeps feeds unambiguous across calendar clients — every instance, exception and override is represented as its own concrete event, so what subscribers see matches your site exactly.
